i feel like this ship is going to end up being like jehan/montparnasse: they never interact in canon
so with that clear:
floki’s this kind of weird guy who’s all floaty and funny while athelstan (from what we’ve seen so far) is this headstrong and brave monk who’s slightly outspoken and those two personalities complement each other?? idk i really like that kind of “clashing” personality thing
and floki’s that guy who kinda knows everything about people by looking at them (i mean that’s canon) and he’d understand athelstan’s faith questioning thing and his turmoil and fear over being kidnapped and stuff
and athelstan is used to these vikings being all violent but i don’t think floki has a violent demeanor and athelstan would be like “woah. a nice viking. that’s new” and i don’t think floki would want to hurt him either and ye ah
it seems like they’d go together really well
REMEMBER WHEN I MADE THIS POST LIKE TWO YEARS AGO AND THEN WROTE THE FIRST FLOKISTAN FIC ON AO3 AND THEN SEASON 3 OF VIKINGS HAPPENED AND EVERYTHING WENT SO WRONG
